Pickleball Librarian - Pello PXI and PXII Review

PELLO MEANINGHITĀ | STRIKE Ā | DRIVE

Pello comes from a Latin word, meaning to hit, drive. Itā€™s the essence of the game. And our mindset. Driven by an unrelenting pursuit of improvement. Weā€™re always striving to up ourselves. Our quality. Our performance. Our integrity. Weā€™re all about better pickleball paddles and better pickleball. Sound like anyone you know? Thought so. Now, letā€™s geek out with some nitty-gritty talk on how we make these puppies. Our paddles are molded at over 300Ā° Fahrenheit under 100 tons of pressure using epoxy resin. Most paddles? Room temperature, using standard AB epoxy. The result? A stronger bond to the inner layer for a more consistent hitting surface. Every time.

PELLO STORY BY THE FOUNDER

"PELLO Pickleball Paddles was born out of frustration. In 2021 I was invited by a friend to a pickleball party. Iā€™d never heard of it before. That night, I fell in love with the sport. When I got home, I went online to buy my whole family paddles. I was eager to have that experience with them. I quickly became frustrated with the ugly colors, wacky designs, and cheap materials in about every paddle I found out there. Since I couldnā€™t find what I was looking for, I decided Iā€™d create it. With the help of some incredible designers and a Pickleball legend, Jarrett Chirico, we developed Pello. Not just a dangerously good-looking paddle, but a paddle designed to perform. Pello is made from Toray 800 carbon fiber, a stiffer material than the cheaper Toray 300 that most of the few carbon paddles use. You can feel the difference. Youā€™ll know exactly what I mean when you play with one." - Bill Durham, CEO & Founder
